What is hosting traffic?

You've probably already heard the term "traffic" from your ISP. The simplest definition for traffic is how much data can pass over a given Internet connection.

Entering the site, the user sends a request to the server and he processes this request while working with the site. Imagine a water tap. As traffic to the site increases, the amount of water passing through the pipe increases until you reach the limit when the pipe is completely filled with water and it flows with full pressure.

It's the same with the website. When many users visit a site at the same time, the flow tube fills up and the site slows down or even stops working. Traffic is a parameter that determines the width of this very "pipe".

While other hosting providers limit traffic, DarkHost offers truly unlimited hosting at all plans.
